Salt is a popular food seasoning. It can also be a preservative or a condiment. There are many forms of salt for human comsumption like, Sea salt, rock salt, and table salt. Another name for salt is Sodium Chloride. The molecular formula is NaCl. This is a picture of its molecular structure:
